A day after the Van der Brink team were faced with the unfortunate event of the truck flipping over on its side, the team made up for lost time yesterday in a shortened stage for day 10 of the Dakar Rally.
Yesterday’s stage through the sand dunes was shortened due to the troubles all of the competitors faced the day before. Van den Brink started off strong and immediately moved its way up through the ranks, and finished in a strong twelfth position. This puts the team solidly back into the race, in twelfth position in the overall standings. With a couple of days left in the Rally, Van den Brink still has a good shot for a top-10 finish.
